JOHANNESBURG – South African songbird Kelly Khumalo has slammed two of her baby daddies, Jub Jub and former footballer Mthokozisi Yende, describing them as useless for failing to pay child support for their children over the years.
Khumalo, who also had a child with slain Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa, described him as the only responsible man she had a child with in her past, and would make sure that he took care of all the children, including those that were not his.
Khumalo’s eldest son, Christian, is by musician and TV presenter Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye, a former convict, and her daughter, Thingo, is by the former Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper and captain Meyiwa, who died in 2014 after being shot at the home of Kelly Khumalo’s mother.
Her last-born daughter, Luna, is by professional footballer, former Kaizer Chiefs player Mthokozisi Yende.
In an interview on L-Tido’s podcast, the controversial Khumalo did not pull any punches, as she swung at the men in her past.
“I have never received any support, even financially,” she said.
“They’re all useless, all of them – well, except for one, Senzo Meyiwa,” she shared.
Meyiwa had a daughter from his marriage to Mandisa Mkhize, and another from a past affair with an unknown woman.
Despite this, Khumalo had nothing but praise for the late Meyiwa, citing that had Senzo been alive, he would have been an amazing father to their daughter.
“Senzo was a very hands-on father. He did everything he could to be there for his children. Not just my children, but the other two? Useless.”
Jub Jub has in the past previously stated that Khumalo had denied him access to his son.
This is after being released from jail for culpable homicide (manslaughter) following a drag-racing accident in 2010 that killed four children who were walking back home from school and paralysed another.
