VP Chiwenga’s wife Minnie Baloyi ‘first non-model judge from Africa’ at Miss Universe

HARARE – Colonel Miniyothabo Baloyi- Chiwenga, affectionately known as Minnie Baloyi, has been chosen to be one of the judges for the 74th Miss Universe competition currently taking place in Thailand.

The wife of Vice President Constantino Chiwenga becomes the first non-model judge from Africa to join the panel of judges from across the globe in selecting this year’s Miss Universe.

“Guys, I can’t keep calm, I am one of the Miss Universe Finals judges in Thailand. I am the first non-model judge from Africa,” said Minnie in a post on Facebook.

The announcement has been made ahead of the grand finale, which will take place this coming Saturday.

Minnie is currently serving as the board chairperson for the Miss Universe Zimbabwe pageant and Miss Zimbabwe Trust, a position previously held by Mary Chiwenga.

Lyshanda Moyas is representing Zimbabwe in the Universal Pageant.
