SOUTH AFRICA – Zimbabwe Warriors goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze is in the running for the big one in the Betway Premiership.
The former Chicken Inn shot stopper has been nominated for the Goalkeeper of the Season Award.
He is vying for the gong along with Sipho Chaine of Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns goalie Ronwen Williams.
Chipezeze, who is the Magesi FC captain, had a stellar season both in the league and cup competitions, the Carling Black Label Knockout Cup.
He won four Man of the Match awards including in the final when they beat Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1.
Chipezeze’s string of impressive performances, saw him being recalled in the Zimbabwe national team fold.
He was part of the last Warriors squad to play friendly matches against Burkina Faso and Niger in Morocco in June.
