LONDON – Over 13 years after founding Diaspora Insurance, its CEO Jeff Madzingo, a humble easy-going visionary, is finally getting the recognition he deserves.
This month he was honoured with the prestigious “Excellence In Transformative Insurance Solutions” award at the Africa-UK Business Awards 2025.
The awards recognise visionary leaders who have made significant contributions to strengthening business ties between Africa and the United Kingdom.
Madzingo was celebrated for his ground-breaking work in providing innovative insurance solutions tailored for the global African diaspora.
The company is now a multi-million-dollar enterprise offering a flagship “Diaspora Funeral Cash Plan” product to Africans in the diaspora.
The Diaspora Funeral Cash Plan, provides cash pay-out within 24 hours of submitting relevant paperwork. This the company says helps ensure a dignified send-off, at the same maintaining dignity for the remaining family and friends.
A few months ago Diaspora Insurance unveiled a massive brand new head office in Birmingham, a significant marker of the growth of the company under Madzingo’s leadership.

In 2024 alone, the company supported hundreds of community organisations and charities worldwide, reflecting its dedication to giving back to the communities it serves.
The latest award adds to a series of recognitions for Madzingo who was previously named Male Entrepreneur of the Year at the Diaspora Homecoming Celebration and was honoured as the Business Driver of the Year by the Zim Achievers awards.
Reflecting on these achievements, Jeff remarked, “This is for you, all of our DiasporaInsurance.com family. Ours is not a job; it’s a calling. We appreciate your acknowledging our efforts.”

Good to see we still have a lost of visionaries that can run companies over such a sustained period. 13 years is not a joke. Well done Jeff, you deserve this.
As far as diaspora products go, this one is simple and straightforward.
