HARARE – Veteran football administrator Kennedy Ndebele, who is contesting for the Vice Presidency of the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA), has officially resigned as the Premier Soccer League (PSL) Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The PSL announced Ndebele’s resignation in a statement issued on Wednesday.
“The Premier Soccer League (PSL) wishes to inform all stakeholders that the PSL Chief Executive Officer, Mr Kennedy Ndebele has resigned from his position, effective 24 January 2025.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Ndebele for his outstanding leadership and dedicated service to the PSL.
“His contributions were crucial in driving the league’s growth and achieving its success. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours,” read the statement.
Ndebele is among five candidates who are vying for the ZIFA vice president position in the election set for Saturday in Harare.
Meanwhile, to ensure continued smooth operation of the organisation, the PSL has appointed Rodwell Thabe who was the marketing manager, as the interim CEO.
