Former Zimbabwe senior national team midfielder Tafadzwa Kutinyu says he is relishing working under the mentorship of Singida Black Stars’ new head coach, Algerian-French tactician Hamdi Miloud.
Kutinyu who was recently appointed as a data and performance analyst by the Tanzanian top flight side, sees working with Miloud as a huge boost to his recently started career.
Miloud, an experienced gaffer coached a number of clubs across three continents; namely Africa, Asia, and Europe.
The 57-year old tactician’s tenure in Africa includes leading Algerian giants USM Alger to the 2015 CAF Champions League final and coaching JS Kabylie.
He was once in charge of Al-Salmiya of Kuwait, under-23s of Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ettifaq and French sides Atlético Marseille as well as ES Vitrolles.
Most recently, Miloud was in charge of Al-Khaldiya FC in Bahrain.
It is Miloud’s experience and background that excites Kuntinyu, a former Singida Black Stars versatile midfielder.
“The coach is helping me improve daily. I’m learning new things since his arrival,” said the former Bantu Rovers star.
He added: “As I’m still new to this role, I need to absorb as much knowledge as possible to further my career.”
Kutinyu retired from professional football in December 2023 following a serious nose injury sustained during the 2021/22 season while playing for Chicken Inn.
The injury, which required two surgeries, prevented him from regaining full fitness.
