Former Zimbabwe national team captain Benjani Mwaruwari’s son, Benjani Jr has returned to his parent club Shepton Mallet AFC.

Benjani Jr’s return comes after a brief loan spell with Bridgwater FC in the English ninth tier league.

Shepton Mallet who also play in the English ninth tier league, announced the 20-year old’s return to the club.

They wrote: “The club are delighted to announce Benjani Jr has returned home after a brief spell away. Benji (Jr) goes straight into tonight’s squad in the Somerset Cup.”

Benjani Jr joined Shepton Mallet as a free agent after being released by Yeovil Town in the English National League in the previous season.

He then left the club for Bridgwater FC.
