Italy based Zimbabwe Warriors left back Jordan Zemura’s second half goal was the difference when his side Udinese beat Lecce 1-0 on Saturday.
The roving left back scored a splendid free kick in the 75th minute, helping Udinese register their fourth win of the season in the Italian Serie A.
Reacting to his goal, which was his first for Udinese, the 23-year-old former AFC Bournemouth left back said:
“Straight off the training ground. You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand”
Additionally, a video of him thanking the Udinese fans in the Italian language made rounds on social media.
“Grazie ai fan per il supporto (Thanks to the fans for the support).”
Zemura joined Udinese in August 2023 after parting ways with Bournemouth following a contract dispute.
Meanwhile, he is currently in Warriors squad under new gaffer Michael Nees for the upcoming back to back AFCON qualifiers against Namibia.
The crucial matches are scheduled for 10 and 14 October at the Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa.
