Zimbabwe Warriors defender Munashe Garananga is set to join Danish top flight side FC Copenhagen from Belgian Pro League club KV Mechelen for a fee in the region of US$4 million.
The 23-year old is set to travel to Copenhagen in Denmark today for medicals before signing a four year deal.
The transfer move comes just six months after the Prince Edward Academy graduate joined Mechelen from Sheriff Tiraspol of Moldova.
Garananga’s career has been on the rise since joining Ubuntu Football Academy in Cape Town, South Africa from Prince Edward Academy.
He joined Dynamo Brest in Belarus in February 2022 and in January 2023 he moved to Sheriff Tiraspol in Moldova.
Garananga was part of the Warriors squad that played Lesotho and South Africa in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in South Africa recently.
He started when the Warriors suffered a 3-1 defeat to Bafana Bafana in Bloemfontein.
