Doja Cat has come out guns blazing against her father, former Yizo Yizo star Dumisani Dlamini (Chester), accusing him of being a deadbeat father than did not contribute meaningfully to her life.
Signs of trouble were evident last week after Doja changed her bio on X to read “My dad’s a deadbeat but I did well.”
On Monday, the music star was a lot more direct in her attack, posting on Instagram that Dlamini was a deadbeat father.
“Dad, let me know when/if you need me to re-up your makeup cabinet because you are a b*tch.”
Doja Cat has always spoken openly about her father, saying “she has never met him” but has seen him commenting on her social media posts.
In the past, Dlamini has been accused of using Doja Cat’s name for social media clout. He has been seen using the name “Doja Cat’s father” to promote his events.
Dlamini stayed behind in America for 15 years after a tour by the hit production Safarina and while there he had two children by a Jewish-American woman.
Dlamini has claimed that he has a great relationship with both his American children.
“I am close to my children, all of them. I love them and they love me.”
Dumisani, who has gushed over Doja Cat’s global success, said his legacy is his children.
“I’m proud of her for what she has achieved. I’m not surprised because it’s in the blood. All my children are talented. South Africa should be proud of such a great talent coming from us.” Telly Africa
