South African actor Ronnie Nyakale, who first captured the attention of the world as the iconic Papa Action on Yizo Yizo, has reportedly turned to offering driving services for Bolt, an e-hailing business, as acting gigs ran dry.
Nyakale, who had appeared in international movies like Blood Diamonds, Machine Gun Preacher and Jerusalem, was recently released from Generations : The Legacy were he starred as Cosmo for a decade.
At the time, sources claimed that Nyakale “wants to explore more of his talent as an actor with other production houses”.
“The character of Cosmo wasn’t growing beyond his expectation and it was often the same thing from the character which triggered him to start looking for an exit plan and exercise other avenues in the acting industry,” said one source to TshisaLIVE.
However, it seems that things have not been rosy for the actor recently, with one source revealing to Zimoja that he had decided to become a Bolt driver after his income dried up.
“Most of us knew that he was a Bolt driver; it’s been a few months since he started and he knows how the industry works,” the source.
When contacted for comment, Nyakale refused to shed more light, saying “I have no comment, my brother.”
