Zimbabwe Warriors star Jordan Zemura scores his first goal for Udinese

Zimbabwe Warriors defender Jordan (JZ) Zemura, scored his first goal for Udinese in their 1-1 draw against Cagliari at the Bluenergy Stadium on Sunday.

Zemura’s goal in the 14th minute made history, as he became the first Zimbabwean to score in the Serie A.

Using his weaker (right) foot, he scored a beautifully curled shot from inside the box into the top right corner.

However, Udinese who have won once in their last five games, failed to secure all three points at home.

This was after former Chelsea forward Loftus Cheek equalised for the visitors in the 31st minute.

Reacting to his first goal in Italy’s top flight league, Zemura wrote on X: “Onto next week, more passion more fire!”

The left back was yet to find the net for Udinese since joining the club as a free agent in April 2023.

JZ joined Udinese on a four-year-deal after leaving AFC Bournemouth following a contract dispute.
