As rumours of their impending divorce continue to gather steam, associates of Ben Affleck have claimed that the actor feels as if his marriage to Jennifer Lopez was a fever dream, which he would annul on the grounds of temporary insanity if he could.
Lopez and Affleck are reportedly headed towards a split, which would make it the former’s fourth divorce.
Rumours of an impending divorce have continued unabated over the past few weeks, with claims that Affleck had moved out of their matrimonial home.
The couple, who both are reportedly shopping for property, have rarely been spotted together recently.
According to a source that spoke to Page Six, Affleck “came to his senses” and recognised that he and Lopez were headed for a divorce.
“If there was a way to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity, he would,” the insider shared. “He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream, and he’s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work.”
After calling off their initial engagement in 2004, the “Greatest Love Story Never Told” documentary the subjects reconciled in 2021 and eloped in Las Vegas in July 2022.
