English League One side Reading FC are reportedly considering parting ways with Zimbabwe Warriors midfielder Tivonge Rushesha, according to sources in England.
The 21-year-old who joined Reading in the summer after a successful trial, is among seven players who are set to be shown the exit door by the club nicknamed “the Royals’.
According to Football League World, an online English publication: “Rushesha joined the club in the summer following a successful trial. The Zimbabwe international was available after his contract had expired at Swansea City.
“Due to the form of other players in his positions, the midfielder has been limited to few appearances during his time in Berkshire so far.”
Rushesha was part of the Zimbabwe senior national team squad that played Rwanda and Nigeria respectively in the World Cup qualifiers in November.
He expressed his delight on receiving his first Warriors call up.
“This is my first time in the Zimbabwe national team. It’s a country where my family is from. I was born in Zimbabwe and I would always visit every year of my life when I was younger, so it’s a very proud moment,” said Rushesha.
Rushesha once represented the Wales U-17, U-19 and U-20 national teams before switching allegiance after failing to break into the Welsh senior team.
