Must Try

With two weeks left before the start of the 2023 season slated for March 18, Harare giants Dynamos FC’s assistant coach Murape Murape has told fans to expect a ‘fashionable and formidable’ squad compared to that of last season.

The ex-Dynamos skipper promised and assured fans the team will try to put up a good performance consistently.

His sentiments come after DeMbare who were under Tonderai Ndiraya last season before he was sacked, failed to attract supporters during its matches.

Unappealing or ‘poor quality of football’ as well as inconsistent results were all characterized with the low turn out.

Nonetheless, it appears Murape who is deputizing Ndiraya’s successor Herbert Maruwa along with Genesis Mangombe has found the solution.

“Last season was last season, this season is completely different. We will try our best to win every game, every weekend, that Dynamos FC plays.

“We want to play good football so that people can be proud and can enjoy our way of play,” he wrote on his timeline.

Monya as Murape is nicknamed also implored the club faithful to throng stadias insisting the 20-time champions will “produce good results”.

DeMbare play their season opener with premier league returnees Hwange and face off league debutants Sheasham and Simba Bhora respectively.

Their litmus test is on match day five against bitter rivals Highlanders FC.

The first leg of the blockbuster dubbed the ‘Battle of Zimbabwe’ is scheduled for Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo.
