Kwangwa excited by new ambassadorial role

England-based Gems captain Felisitus Kwangwa is ecstatic about her new Gilbert Netball ambassadorial role.

Kwangwa signed a one-year contract with the biggest netball’s sportswear and equipment company based in the United Kingdom.

As part of her endorsement deal, Kwangwa will receive Gilbert Netball clothing, footwear, equipment and a signature ball designed by her.

The goal-defence player signed a one-year contract with the England based team Surrey Storm ahead of the 2021 Vitality Netball Super League. She became the first Zimbabwean to ply her trade in Europe.

“I feel so happy to be named an ambassador especially when you know that I am coming from a lower ranked country in the world in terms of netball so it’s really a great achievement and I’m super excited,” Kwangwa told H-Metro Sport.

Gilbert Netball posted on their social Media pages congratulating Kwangwa for the achievement.

“Another huge welcome to our new Gilbert Netball ambassador Felisitus Kwangwa.

“Felisitus is the Zimbabwe Netball Captain and will be playing in the Vitality Netball Superleague next year!” reads the message. H-Metro
