Twine Phiri arrested

Former Caps United football club owner Twine Phiri was yesterday arrested seconds after gaining freedom.

Phiri was placed in custody by Harare magistrate Anne Ndiraya where he had appeared asking for more time to pay.

He was only released to be re-arrested again by police officers from Harare central, who were waiting for him for an undisclosed matter.

H-Metro could not establish the reasons why he was being re-arrested.

Phiri was taken to court by his former wife Keresiya Phiri for maintenance arrears amounting to more than US$20 000.

Keresiya has been i and out of court trying to get the arrears paid by Phiri. H-Metro
