A young woman on Monday gave evidence in camera in the high court sitting at the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court against her father.
The Kempton Park man, 45, is accused of raping her and his other daughter as well as impregnating his niece.
The alleged abuse happened over a five year period between 2007 and 2013, when the girls were aged between 12 and 17-years-old.
“To silence the older daughter he bought her a car, but the younger daughter became rebellious and fell pregnant and he took her for a back door abortion and buried the foetus in front. The girl was under the age of 16 at the time,” a representative from Women and Men Against Children Abuse said.
“The younger daughter then revealed what was happening to a family member who refused to let the situation continue and contacted Women and Men Against Child Abuse (WMACA).”
The children and the accused’s wife have been taken to a place of safety with the assistance of witness protection services.
The trial continues.
