Soul Jah Love’s fans in Pretoria will be disappointed as the dancehall chanter has no shows in Pretoria.

Instead he has lined up two gigs with the main one dubbed the 2nd Annual Summer Fiesta taking place at Alicats Pub in Randburg from 4pm till early Sunday morning.

It had been reported earlier this week that he will play in Pretoria and Johannesburg but his management moved in quickly to dismiss that as untrue.

Promoters of the Saturday show fronted by Hustle Entertainment’s Elton Nyariri aka DJ Hustle were left fuming and their fans confused after social media went abuzz with the Pretoria show news.

“It is my team and Alicats Pub who are behind this tour. We believe there are some mischievous people who want to create confusion and want to reap where they did not sow.

Our arrangement and agreement with the Jah Love camp is that they are coming to our show and nowhere else on Saturday,” said DJ Hustle who even produced four air tickets for the artist’s camp.

“There are people who want to cannibalise on the hard work of others. At the last minute we saw flyers going all over about other shows and gave an impression that they are behind the tour which is all false,” added Hustle.

The artist and his team are expected to arrive at OR Tambo International Airport on South African Airways flight number SA29 at 1810hrs on Friday evening according to their air tickets.

Soul Jah Love is much sought after especially in Johannesburg.

He is one artist who can draw a full house in dancehall circles with little effort. Some unscrupulous

“promoters” have in the past capitalised on the artist’s popularity and went on to advertise shows without contracts in place.

This has resulted in fans paying for no-shows which in some cases resulted in violent confrontations and left the artist’s reputation in tatters.

“We are playing at Alicats Pub in Randburg on Saturday. We are ready to come,” said Jah Love’s manager Wadis whose real name is Marshall Bimha.

They even updated their Facebook page to indicate the Randburg show.

At their previous show in Randburg hundreds of fans turned up and the same is expected this Saturday if the buzz online is anything to go by.

Security has been beefed up to ensure the safety of the fans who are expected to throng the venue.

On Sunday evening Jah Love will play in Yeoville. H-Metro
