South Africa’s talented Kwaito star Mandoza, who has been for a while battling cancer, is determined to make an appearance at the “100 Artists for R100” Event at Orlando Stadium this Saturday according to media reports.

Following his current condition where he was said to be at home “fighting for his life” in a statement recently released by his wife, Mpho, this could be arguably not the best of choices to make considering his state.
“A great Son of our Mzansi Soil is in trouble. Mandoza Nkalakatha is fighting for his life after having cancer treatment in 2015.”
“It has unfortunately metastasized to his brain. Doctors and medical staff are trying whatever they can and we are not giving up hope for his recovery,” stated the statement.
According to media reports, Mpho had been clear that the ailing Kwaito star was currently at home but would not say more on his condition having only stated that together with the Tshabalala family, they were asking his fans and friends to pray for him.
“… Beckon the Ancestors and keep him in your thoughts during this time. Please also be respectful and discreet in how you react to this announcement.”
Meanwhile, Mandoza’s friend and producer, Gabriel Gaby Le Roux broke the news on Tuesday that the kwaito star was “fighting for his life”, and it has now emerged that he is “serious but not critical”.
Le Roux in the facebook post stated that the cancer had metastasized to the musician’s brain and his his family was asking people to keep Mandoza in their supplications.
The following morning Le Roux is said to have written:
“…The latest on Mandoza is: 1) His Condition is serious but not critical. 2) He is at home and on a good diet with treatment in place.3) He cannot see at this stage, but he can walk around easily with guidance.”
He went on to say that “At this stage he is determined to make an appearance at the “100 Artists for R100” Event at Orlando Stadium this Saturday (accompanied by General GTZ).”
It is reported that Le Roux asked people not to speculate or demand any further details pertaining Mandoza’s condition but rather just keep him in mind and in their prayers too; assuring the public that “they” were still hoping for his full recovery.
In the past, it is said that Mandoza has spoken highly of Le Roux via Rolling with Mandoza, his television reality show.
Mandoza has described his friend and producer as a great source of support during his career despite his troubled past, that included a drug addiction battle.
However it is also said that Mandoza has been in and out hospital for a variety of ailments over the past two years.
