Dumped by AFM pastor…. lobola and wedding dates set

HARARE – A Glen Norah A woman is bitter after being dumped by an Apostolic Faith Mission in Zimbabwe (AFM) pastor even after lobola negotiations and wedding dates had been set.

Simbisai Nhira (40) claims that Pastor Kenneth Midzi had promised to marry her only to dump her for another woman. Pastor Midzi denied having a relationship with Nhira saying that she was only a church member.

“I don’t know what you are talking about but she is just a church member and you can as well tell me the whole story. That is so personal and I don’t know why you want all those details about my life. I will marry when I want and how is that your business?”he asked.

Midzi’s wife died 18 months ago and Nhira says she had been introduced even to the new mai Mufundisi . “He had promised to marry me and preparations were already at an advanced stage as I had already started trying on wedding gowns”

“A lobola negotiation date had been set for September 19 and was supposed to have our wedding before end of this year. He really broke my heart and to think that he left me for another woman in the same church,” she lamented.

Nhira said she had since stopped going to church because she could not face people at church adding that she had been hospitalised after falling sick following the break-up.

“A week after we had gone to the overseer for introductions, he requested that we meet and that is when he told me that the relationship was over adding that he had moved on with another woman.

“I had seen messages in his phone from the same woman he dumped me for when we were dating. I have since stopped going to church because I know people are talking about it. Imagine people now knew me and we were already walking together as a family.”
