Joint proprietor, Henry Mapoko, accused the Conquering Family boss of short-changing fans.

“I am really disappointed with Soul Jah Love since I paid him US$1 300 to perform for four hours.

“I even gave him US$65 for fuel which he demanded as well as food for his band members only for him to perform for less than an hour,” said Henry.

He said he tried to talk to him but Soul Jah Love just drove away.

“His band members went to stage around 10.15pm and they were joined by his wife, Bounty Lisa, who only performed two tracks and was joined by Soul Jah Love later on.

“By 11.45pm, they left the stage despite the fact that some of the fans were still making their way into the show venue,” he said.

Henry said some of the security guards were bashed by irate fans who demanded refunds.

Contacted for comment, Bounty Lisa confirmed the fracas.

“Yes, Soul Jah Love performed for only an hour, because that is what we charge and if he wanted those four hours, he should have paid US$2 000,” said Bounty before Soul Jah Love took the phone and threatened this writer.

“Mukudei kumukadzi wangu? Ndozvandisingadi mumwe ndichamuzvindikita,” he said before hanging up the phone.
