The odds of recovery look grim for Bobbi Kristina Brown, one day after the daughter of music legends Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was found unconscious face down in a bathtub by her husband.
The 21-year-old was last reported in stable condition in a medical induced coma, but sources close to the family told TMZ that her brain function has ‘significantly diminished’.
‘It doesn’t look good,’ another source told Entertainment Tonight.
That same source revealed to the TV show that it’s ‘no coincidence’ that Bobbi Kristina was found in such tragically similar circumstances as her mother, who was died in a bathtub from an ‘accidental’ drug overdose almost exactly three years ago. Since then Bobbi Kristina’s troubles have been ‘a lot deeper than everyone can see’.
‘We don’t think Bobbi Kristina is going to pull through,’ a source told Hollywood Life.
Bobbi’s father Bobby Brown is currently by her side, praying for her recovery with family friend Tyler Perry among others.
‘Privacy is requested in this matter. Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time,’ Bobby Brown said in a statement.
It’s still uncertain what caused the medical emergency Saturday morning at the home Bobbi Kristina shares with her husband Nick Gordon. However, family members are now starting to reveal Bobbi Kirstina’s tortured life these past three years as she battled to make a name for herself as a singer and mourn the passing of her beloved mother.
One source close to Bobbi told People that she ‘has been vacillating between extremes for a while now and is fighting giref and demons of her own creation.’
‘The loss of her mom and her intense craving for attention of any sort are just the tip of her mountain of issues,’ the source added.
And now sources close to Bobbi Kristina Brown are expressing little hope of a recovery.
Her husband Nick Gordon discovered her unconscious in a bathtub at their Roswell, Georgia home around 10:25am Saturday morning – in the same home they shared with Houston.
Gordon performed CPR on his struggling wife until paramedics arrived on the scene and rushed her to North Fulton Hospital.
In an eerie co-incidence, her mother was found dead almost three years ago when she accidentally drowned in a bath tub at the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel – she too was face down.
The former reality star was last reported in stable condition in the intensive care unit.
In a statement the Roswell Police Department said: ‘Her husband and a friend located her in a bath tub this morning and she was unresponsive.
‘He started CPR and a police officer took over life-saving measures until an ambulance arrived.’
The friend telephoned for help as Gordon worked at saving his wife.
The unresponsive reality TV star was immediately transferred to North Fulton Hospital where she is still being treated in ICU, according to TMZ who describe her current condition as stable.
It is as yet unclear what caused her collapse and a police search of the home turned up no drugs.
‘Obviously we all know her mom died this very same way,’ said Lisa Holland of the Roswell PD.
‘Can’t say how sad this is. It’s a difficult situation for police officer to perform CPR on any person.’ Daily Mail
