Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona bagged a brace in his first match for new Belgian club KV Oostende on Friday.

The Zimbabwean forward, who signed a two-and-a-half year contract with Belgian Pro League side after finding game-time difficult to come by at Bundesliga club Hoffenheim, scored both goals for his new team in a friendly 2-0 win over Dutch first division club NEC.
And the former Glamour Boys frontman was understandably pleased with his contribution.
“It was a great game,” the 24-year-old told KVOTV. “We played very well as a team, and I am happy that I have contributed to scoring the goals, and also the contribution from my teammates. So I must say, it was all about teamwork.”
Musona was particularly pleased at opening his account in his first match with his new side.
“It feels great,” he said. “You know when you play as a striker, when I play a match and don’t score, I don’t feel good.
“As a striker, I wish to score every game. So I was lucky in front of goal, and got the goals.”
Musona converted from the spot for one of his two goals, saying he is comfortable to step up and take penalties for his new team.
“Yes, I used to take penalties at my previous club, so it’s not a problem for me to take a penalty,” he said.
Oostende, who South Africa’s Andile Jali also turns out for, currently lie ninth in the Belgian League standings, 16 points adrift of leaders Club Brugge. Kick Off.com
