Senzo Meyiwa’s family doesn’t want Kelly at funeral

SOUTH AFRICA – The family of slain goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa does not want his girlfriend singer Kelly Khumalo at his funeral this Saturday.

“The service is open to anyone who wants to come to pay their last respects to Senzo, but that girl [Kelly Khumalo] is not welcome. She mustn’t even think about coming,” Meyiwa’s father, Samuel told The New Age Newspaper.

“Mandisa is Senzo’s wife so of course she is welcome,” he added.

According to the report the Meyiwa family was in Johannesburg yesterday to identify the the body and prepare for its return to Durban.

According to police Meyiwa was shot in his upper body while visiting his Kelly Khumalo, in Vosloorus on Sunday night.

The family is still finalising the details of his funeral which will take place at King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Meyiwa’s hometown. Drum
