Mushekwi talks with Sundowns in the offing

The future of Nyasha Mushekwi – who is almost fit to play after recovering from a knee injury – is set to be decided by Mamelodi Sundowns in the coming weeks.

Nyasha Mushekwi is back in South Africa on an early break, as he continues with his rehabilitation for an injury he suffered earlier this year.

The Zimbabwean was on loan to Belgian side KV Oostende this past season, but failed to complete his stint there after picking up the injury.

While Oostende are keen to retain the services of the striker, he is also on the radar of at least three other clubs from that country.

Mushekwi’s agent, Ralph Nkomo, tells KickOff.com that the player’s future will only be decided after he returns from Belgium.

“Sundowns will decide on Nyasha soon. He will be leaving for Belgium to complete his rehabilitation so we can only start communicating with Sundowns after he completes this programme,” Nkomo says.

“The player is eager to continue playing in Europe but, as I have said, the decision rests on Mamelodi Sundowns,” adds Nkomo.

Sundowns may be tempted to sell Mushekwi to the highest bidder given the many strikers they have on their books. Kick Off.com
