Kaizer Chiefs striker Kingston Nkhatha will be rested for tonight’s clash with University of Pretoria, while George Maluleka, Mulomowandau Mathoho and Siboniso Gaxa are struggling with knocks.
Amakhosi coach Stuart Baxter revealed the team news on the club’s official website.
He said: “It is a difficult one as you will know by now that assessing the players has been a challenge in this schedule. Maluleka, Mathoho and Gaxa are nursing an assortment of injuries while Nkhatha will be rested. We wanted to rest more players but we want to remain serious contenders and also we would like to maintain our shape.”
Meanwhile, Baxter retains hope that Mamelodi Sundowns will slip up against SuperSport United this evening. Downs are three points away from clinching Premiership honours going into the penultimate round of fixtures.
