London – Famed for the uplifting, danceable and spiritual Ndire Ndire song, the Zion Christian Church Brass Band marked their arrival in the United Kingdom with a performance in Luton on Wednesday.

The band is in the UK for the first time and is accompanying church ZCC church leader Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi and his delegation for the yearly UK Easter Passover Conference to be held in Peterborough from the 25th to the 27th of April 2014.

The Brass Band’s presence in the UK is part of an on-going crusade to celebrate the Church’s landmark 100 years of prophetic work from 1913-2013.

The church already has several parishes in Scotland, Liverpool, Leeds, Harrogate, Manchester, Birmingham, Leicester, Northampton, Kettering, Peterborough, Luton, Cardiff and London.

So far the Band has been permitted to play free open-air concerts in Luton, Birmingham, Leicester, Northampton and Kettering before the main Conference in Peterborough.

The Itinerary stands as follows; 

23/04/2014 Luton

24/04/2014 Birmingham-Centenary Square. 12pm-1.30pm

25/04/14 Kettering

25/04/2014 Northampton

25/04/2014 6pm Peterborough Yaxley Parish Council PE7 3LU (Easter Conference Centre till Sunday 27/04/2014)

4/05/2014 Manchester Picadilly, Manchester

Bishop Mutendi will lead the Easter conferences proceedings in the UK.

Everyone is welcome and admission is free.
