Harare – Sexy Angels lead dancer Beverly “Bev” Sibanda on Tuesday confirmed that she is returning to her roots and will be performing her raunchy dances in nightclubs once again.
A few months ago Bev claimed to have repented and joined Prophet Walter Magaya’s Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries. But it now appears that was a publicity stunt meant to benefit both parties.
In an interview with Star FM on Tuesday Bev said money is the reason she has gone back to her dancing roots. This is despite Prophet Magaya having helped her set up a clothing shop in Harare.
Bev suggested the shop was not making money and she was tired of begging other people when she had her own talents that can give her money.
Asked if she would stop attending PHD Ministries Bev said she would continue going unless they ban her from coming.
She also revealed how her fans were excited about her return and that promoters were already calling her to book shows. Only this month Bev said she was repentant and would not be dirty dancing again.
She said she was actually working on a gospel project, which is still in its infancy and would not be deterred by people trying to stop her from going to the PHD church.
“I am going to the studio because I now want to venture into gospel music. I am going to Dr Tawanda Benson’s studio and I do not have any of my old band members. I am doing solo rehearsals and composing gospel songs. When I am ready, I will get help from the (PHD Church) choir.”
