“We had a meeting this morning (Wednesday) on the issue and it is increasingly clear that each legislator will be given a US$30 000 car loan to purchase vehicles locally. We have had a series of meetings which also discussed allowances and salaries.”

A few months ago the same government spent close to US$20 million on luxury cars, including Mercedes Benz and SUVs for 26 cabinet ministers, 13 ministers of state and 24 deputies.

Without shame the same government ran an appeal for help to assist floods victims in the areas surrounding the Tokwe-Mukosi Dam.
