Luwiza Alberto, 26, a fish-monger plying her trade in Norton, left home on Friday last week claiming she wanted to place her order as usual.

She reportedly left behind her husband Cliff Mugova in the custody of their three children aged two, four and eight respectively and never returned.

Luwiza was reportedly unreachable prompting Cliff to suspect that she had been arrested, only to get the shock of his life when his call was answered by another man claiming she was his wife and was doing chores at his house.

“It disturbed me much after making several unanswered calls and I quickly suspected that she had been arrested for illegal vending,” said cliff.

“I checked with different police stations only to be answered by a man claiming that my wife of eight years was his.

“Akatonditi mukadzi wake adding that she was busy putting floor polish in his house and I nearly fainted.

“It shows that she has been cheating on me all along saying she was going for business when in fact she was having an illicit affair with this man,” said Cliff.

Cliff made a police report at ZRP Epworth at their Victim Friendly Unit under reference 120-14.

“I made a police report and I am sure if they talk to my wife’s young sister Beatrice we will know where Luwiza is.

“My mother in law must be aware of Luwiza’s whereabouts because she came and snatched her knickers and I strongly suspect that she wanted to take them to her,” added Cliff.

“Ndakatoroorera vamwe mukoma and my children are now longing for their mother’s love ndoitawosei?

“Can the police arrest her to tormenting my kids?” said Cliff while holding the young child in his arms.

Luwiza’s mother Edna Rushesha, 52, confirmed the incident saying Luwiza could have left because of poverty.

“I am under pressure from my son-in-law since Luwiza ditched him because of his laziness,” said Edna.

“My daughter has been fending for the family for quite some time and her husband is too lazy such that it does not come as a surprise to me that she ditched him.

“At one point, I caught them fighting over money which was raised by my daughter from selling fish. He was demanding to take it by force.

“Murume uyu anoita basa rekuchengeta Muvhangeri Chenai nemotokari yake and brings nothing home from that job.

“I am not aware of Luwiza’s whereabouts but she is reported to be staying in Glen View and I am not sure if she is living with another man as alleged.

“I have since taken the young child after Cliff came here furious asking about Luwiza’s whereabouts and I openly told him to take his matter to Luwiza’s aunt.

“Ngaandinyarewo after all he did not finish paying lobola grocery nokuti maZimdollar.

“Cliff must respect me as his mother in law not confronting me in such a manner accusing me of knowing the whereabouts of Luwiza,” said Edna fuming.

Luwiza could not be reached for comment by the time of going to print. H Metro
