Tarumbwa is now in line for a move back home to rejoin former club Bantu Rovers, though his boyhood club Highlanders had been also been an option for the 28-year-old.

The transfer window in Zimbabwe closes at the end of the month. Graham Oosthuis, the Tuks team manager, confirms that Tarumbwa has left the club.

“It is a mutual termination of the contract. Sometimes things don’t work out between player and club and in this particular instance the situation suited both parties,” Oosthuis tells KickOff.com.

Tarumbwa joined at the beginning of the season from Kenyan club Sofapaka and though he got some game-time at the beginning of the season, he quickly fell out of favour.

He now joins Ethiopian striker Fikru Lemessa Tefera and Namibian midfielder Petrus Shitembi in the list of foreign players that have left the club since the start of the season. KickOff.com
