Bev, as the dancer is fondly known, became a favourite to many a reveller with this popular act where she could be seen dancing sitting on a empty beer bottle making fans to believe that the bottle had entered her womanhood.

She insinuated that the celebrated South African musician had taken over the bottle’s place.

“Hakuchisina bhodhoro manje kwava naFreddy Gwala, zvebhodhoro tasiya and zvasara,” she said before hugging Gwala on stage. This had given rise to speculation that the two had become an item after revelations that they would be spending the next six months together.

Bev’s earlier utterances that she wanted a collaboration with US diva Beyonce, though viewed as being over ambitious, could confirm speculation of an intimate relationship with Gwala.

She described herself as Zimbabwe’s own version of Beyonce and if her utterances are anything to go by, then she could be headed for a union with Gwala. Beyonce is married to hip hop star Jay Z, making it a family of music superstars and Bev could perhaps be dreaming of such.

Gwala responded to Bev’s utterances and said His relationship with Bev will go a long way.

“I am happy to be here for the album launch of this beautiful lady and the relationship will go very far,” Gwala could be heard saying.

This has come after Bev had spent a week across the Limpopo where she confirmed that she had time with Gwala ‘rehearsing’ for the album launch. The Amadamara hit-maker features on Bev’s debut album “Tapinda’ which was successfully launched over the weekend.

Attracting a favourable crowd at City Sports Beer Gardens, the launch was graced by high-flying Peter Moyo, Botswana-based producer Dr Tawanda and Freddy Gwala.
