A South Africa based Zimbabwean man who attacked his cheating wife with a beer bottle says he is going to hand over himself to police end of this month.
Speaking from Sasolburg (SA) Moreblessing Hwesva, 31, confirmed attacking his wife Proficiency Maritinyu, 24, with an empty beer bottle after she confessed to cheating with a married man in Mayambara Seke communal lands.
“Yes I attacked her after she insisted on following me after confessing that she had cheated with a married man during counselling at her sister’s house,” he said.
“Anger carried me away and I broke the bottle in my head probably I was too drunk but the truth is Proficiency slapped me and I failed to continue being abused by that woman.
“I was living in jail under her loose morals in South Africa as she cheated with married men including that Simon she admitted to you; Simon is married not single like she claims,” said Moreblessing.
He said he had decided to take his wife for counselling in Zimbabwe after he had been embarrassed when he accompanied her to church.
“She invited me to accompany her to an apostolic church which she goes to and a prophet (name supplied) was asked to stop leading church sessions after he was caught having sex with my wife at a patient’s house.
“Hanzi mudzimai wangu aiparanyora dzemurwere muporofita achinamatira vakazowanikwa vakarara vose muneimwe imba and all this was said before the church yavo yechipositori unawares that I was around.
“All the people looked at me during the confession as I held my child in my arms. After they were informed of my presence I regretted accompanying her to that church,” said Moreblessing.
He said he was a beer drinker and she was a saint but her behaviour was weird.
“I do not feel like meeting her any time soon in such condition. Proficiency exchanged harsh words with her former boyfriend’s wife after love messages were discovered in her mobile phone and I also came across the messages.
“It is that message that led me to assault her leading to my arrest by South African police and I appeared before a court of law and this time I decided to take her to her parents for counselling in Zimbabwe and she slapped me adding to my anger,” he said.
“How many married men would endure witnessing such behaviour?”
He said his wife had claimed to be clever; “but she was stupid to allow someone to open a facebook account for her which led me to discover her shenanigans with one Simon Ngonyamo, a married man. Simon thanked her for sexual favour they had over facebook and she admitted after I confronted her over the issue.”
Moreblessing said he had lied to his parents that he had come to collect Proficiency’s passport when in fact he had come for counselling with relatives who failed to settle the issue.
“After I decided to go home, she thought I was going to expose her behaviour to my parents and she insisted on accompanying me and I attacked her on the road.
“I had called my sister with her husband for transportation because it was midnight and I attacked her after she slapped me as my sister wanted to know about the issue.
“You can contact Admire’s wife who had a confrontation with my wife over cheating with her husband,” said Moreblessing giving contact details.
The woman claiming to be Admire’s wife refused with her name but told H-Metro that Proficiency is the one who invited her husband on facebook before the love messages were discovered.
“Proficiency dated my husband during their school days and she invited him on facebook before I discovered the love messages,” she said.
“I confronted her two weeks before I heard that they left for Zimbabwe and Proficiency was asking to meet my husband in Johannesburg where we live, which is far from Sasolburg,” she added.
Simon’s wife, named Mercy could not be reached as her mobile went unanswered by the time of going to press. However, Proficiency denied cheating with other men besides the 27 year old Simon she claimed is still single.
“Moreblessing is accusing me of cheating with several men when in fact I only cheated with Simon Ngonyamo in June and he is still single,” said Proficiency.
“It is those allegations of trying to name other men that led to the failure of our counselling session at my sister’s house and I never slapped him like he claims,” she said. H Metro
