LONDON – The Zimbabwe dancehall music trio of Freeman, Lady Squanda and Jay C arrived in the UK on Wednesday morning to embark on a series of concerts that will take them to Coventry, Dunstable, Birmingham, Bradford and another extra venue to be added.

At around 6am (UK time) Freeman and Jay C both from Dzivarasekwa dubbed DangerZone in their music and Lady Squanda from Chitungwiza arrived at London’s Heathrow Airport for the series of concerts dubbed the Love and Unity Tour.

Lady Squanda promised ‘fireworks’ while Jay C said he had a new dance and joked that he will be buying ‘Ma Fans Angu’ ma chips. Freeman nicknamed the Dancehall Doctor said he was grateful to his fans for “believing in him’ hence the song Va Believer’.

Speaking to Nehanda Radio, Osa Dangerzone HQ who represents the DangerZone music stable alongside Banjo Vibes said:

“We promise all Dangerzone fans, a show to remember. It’s the first time the queen of Zimbabwe dancehall Lady Squanda is here, so it’s something for them to look forward to. Freeman and Jay C are here for the second time now.”

Friday 22 March, Coventry (Welcome Party at Coventry Cross) The Burgess, Coventry CV1 1HL). £5 before 11pm and then £10 after. (Show from 9pm – 5am).

Saturday 23 March: Dunstable Leisure Centre, Court Drive, Bedfordshire, LU5 4JD, £17,50 advance tickets, more at the door. (Show from 9pm – 4am).

Friday 29 March: Birmingham, Iqbal Banqueting Suite, 136-148 Victoria Road, Aston, Birmingham, B6 5HH, £17,50 advance tickets and more at the door. (Show from 9pm – 4am).

Saturday 30 March: Club Chronicle, 5-8 Bury Street, Bradford, BD1 2AL (Show from 9pm – 6am).

Sunday 31 March: Extra show at a venue to be advised.

Zimdancehall musician Freeman has found himself attracting the unwanted attention of law enforcement authorities, with the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirming that he had been called in for questioning regarding his links to multiple armed robbers.
On the same day comedienne Madam Boss was involved in accident, Zimdancehall singer Freeman has moved to clarify reports that he had been involved in a separate accident that saw his white Fortuner damaged. Freeman insisted it was a cousin's friend who drove his car and crashed it.
