Lady Gwagwa TV star escapes UK jail

UK – A Zimbabwean mother of three who stars in the popular Lady Gwagwa internet chat show series has been sentenced to a 12-month community order and ordered to do 80 hours’ unpaid work over a night club assault.

Community sentence for Lady Gwagwa star … Marjorie Mutemasango

Marjorie Mutemasango (29) from Heywood, Lancashire hurled a bottle at a man who had sexually harassed her in a Birmingham night club. But the bottle missed its target and smashed into the face of an “innocent” woman, knocking out one of her front teeth.

Judge Dickinson QC said the victim, who also suffered a cut to her lip, would be left with a reminder of what happened to her for the rest of her life.

Shenaz Muzaffer, prosecuting at Birmingham Crown Court, said Moinjama Seekie had been sitting near the dance floor in Le Reference club in Hockley Hill in the early hours of August 11 this year when she was struck.

Mutemasango was ejected from the club and later arrested. Nigel Stelling, defending, said that on two previous occasions a man who was a complete stranger had pestered her before he was taken away by bouncers.
