Married Zimpost branch manager brawls with love rival

A married Zimpost branch manager brawled with a love rival whom he caught at his mistress’s house.

The Parktown branch’s controller, Koit Kankuni has been having an extra-marital affair with his subordinate, Chipochashe Hungwe. The affair came to light when Kankuni found Chipochase with another man in Waterfalls. He lost his rag and attacked his rival, Ross Moyo.

Kankuni pelted Moyo with stones and hit him with fists. Kankuni was arrested and paid an admission of guilt fine at Waterfalls police station.

Kankuni has admitted that he was sleeping with Chipochashe. He however, claimed that the relationship had since ceased after the clash with Ross. He went on to say Ross was the one who instigated violence against him.

“He (Ross) arrived at the place and found us sitting and he started attacking me and went on to damage windows at the house. I was in a relationship with Chipo but it ended because of him and on this day I went there to pick something from her house only.

“But he is violent and could not reason, all his claims are lies. He attacked me and rushed to the police claiming that I had attacked him and the police advised me that I could not make a counter report against him and I paid the fine,” claimed the Zimpost manager.

Chipochashe refused to comment.

According to Ross, he visited Chipochashe at her place. When she was escorting him out, Kankuni appeared from the dark and started attacking him with stones for snatching his lover.

He said he was didn’t know that Kankuni and Chipochashe were having an illicit affair and when he drove her home he assumed that it was just a good working relationship.

“I was with Chipo and she was taking me out, Kankuni suddenly appeared and started attacking me with stones and fists. I could not run because of the mud and he took advantage of that,” said Ross. H Metro
