Axe wielding man tries to kill wife

By Trust Khosa recently in Headlands

In a hair raising incident an axe-welding hubby chased after his wife threatening to chop off her head after a heated domestic dispute at their Yorkshire Farm residence on Friday. The violent hubby, Isheunesu Mazekwa, 22, also caused a stir as he threatened to slice off the limbs of any villager who tried to restrain him from attacking his wife Juliet Kaboka.

“I will kill anyone who comes closer,” shouted the frothing man who appeared to be in a trance. “Just leave me alone, I want to teach her a lesson! “I will definitely strike her with this axe. After all, I am not the first one to kill. I really mean it,” he screamed with a crazed glint in his eyes. As the drama reminiscent of a Wrong Turn thriller movie unfolded, motorists postponed their trips to witness and attempt to rescue the poor woman who had sought refugee in the bushes.

Meanwhile, plain-clothes police from Headlands who had tag-teamed to apprehend the wild man had a torrid time trying to subdue and arrest the wild man. Motorists had to watch with bated breath as an exhausting wrestling match ensued on the dusty ground with the two officers barely winning by the skin of their teeth.

Some skeptical villagers seeing them nearly overpowered even scurried for cover as they doubted whether the two gun-wielding men were genuine police officers. “I doubt whether these guys are really genuine police officers. How can they come with their guns in plain clothes?” said one of the villagers who had sought refuge in his hut.

Isheunesu was however subdued and handcuffed after a spirited scuffle with the police officers. As he was whisked away, ‘the down but not out’ Isheunesu hurled obscenities at the cops. He however pleaded with this reporter not to publish the story. “Were you invited by this woman to come and take my photographs? Please don’t publish this story because I am a popular figure in the community,” pleaded a handcuffed Isheunesu. H Metro
