Sean Kingston, the US-based Jamaican singer was meant to come and conquer Zimbabwe over the weekend. Instead the ‘Beautiful Girls’ singer disappointed fans with two poor performances that left many demanding their money back.

Kingston showed unbridled arrogance in ignoring fans who had waited hours for him to arrive both at the Harare International Airport and the Meikles Hotel where he was staying. He was meant to arrive Thursday but came Friday.

He ignored hundreds of young kids who waited patiently to get his autograph. He topped that by lip synching throughout his performances. His first show in front of a young crowd at the Celebration Centre, saw him fail to last on stage.

The second show in front of a much older audience at the Glamis Arena was even worse with him being outshone by local talent like Winky D, BKay n Kazz, Stunner, Zena, Sniper, Sanii Makhalima and dance group High Definition.

Kingston’s manager Candice Walton meanwhile came to the defence of her artist saying “I don’t understand why people think Kingston was lip-synching. He was singing with his own voice,” she told a local paper.
