Finance Minister Tendai Biti has put the political knife into President Robert Mugabe by telling an MDC rally in Kuwadzana that the 86 year old dictator is tired and sleeps during most important meetings.
Recounting a two hour meeting he held with the octogenarian Biti said ‘I met with President Mugabe two weeks ago and he slept most of the time during the two and a half hour meeting.”
Biti said most of the leaders who were with Mugabe have since departed the political stage and yet he was still there. “A person born in 1980 is now about 31 years old. Samora Machel, Joachin Chissano and Nelson Mandela are gone. He (Mugabe) is tired and must go now too.”
