Batsirai Tikunde - Prof, I do not know if you are aware, but when one applies for a South African visa in Zimbabwe, their passport is taken away on submission of the application. What this effectively means is that for the duration that they will be adjudicating on your application, you cannot go anywhere.

Dr Philani Zamchiya - In recent weeks, Toendepi Shonhe rigorously constructed and forcefully articulated his argument on land, elections and opposition politics in Zimbabwe. The evidently malicious state-owned media seeking to demonise and isolate him from his friends awarded him star of the week. I am sad that some people have labelled him Zanu PF. He is not Zanu PF. This is a result of the polarisation of our society, dearth of tolerance and intellectual debate. In some instances, when we lack content to respond, it is easier to say they are now Zanu PF.

We decided two months ago that the “heavy political news” coming out of the United States since Donald Trump’s electoral victory in November has gone too far. So we opted for “lighter news,” which we had ignored for some time.
