I, Moses Tofa, decided to write this “crying letter” to Zimbabwe’s esteemed war veterans. Note that I use the word “esteemed” cautiously because there are many Zimbabweans who have credible reasons for not holding our comrades in esteem despite the gruesome sacrifices which they made during the liberation struggle.
Moses Tofa: "For the past 24 years, Zimbabwe’s opposition has been valiantly fighting to remove ZANU-PF from power through elections. Along the way, thousands of opposition leaders and supporters were killed or maimed. It has not been an easy fight because of the nature of the regime in Zimbabwe. Some “stalwarts of the struggle” have fallen by the way side with many of them either joining ZANU-PF or clandestinely working with the regime to further their own interests."
Moses Tofa: "ZANU-PF’s fierce succession battles present serious dangers to the nation on the one hand and enormous, unconventional opportunities to those who are seeking democratic change in Zimbabwe on the other hand."
Moses Tofa: "This article is directed to Professor Lovemore Madhuku. There is no doubt that Prof Madhuku is one of those who fought a commendable fight in the struggle against authoritarian politics and in the dispensation of knowledge in Zimbabwe. He is one of our finest legal minds. However, he is now walking in the opposite direction, a direction that is viciously corroding both his legacy and his intellectual astuteness."
Moses Tofa - In this article, I am writing from the point of view that although he is refusing to eat the resignation menu, Mugabe is no longer a factor in Zimbabwean politics going forward.
The Assemblies of God-Back To God (AOG-BTG) church is coming under increasing scrutiny from its members amid emerging concerns over governance shortcomings, alleged financial mismanagement, and the use of church resources to fund legal disputes.
