Jub Jub returns to Uyajola 9/9 despite R12 million lawsuit hanging over his head
JOHANNESBURG – Controversial South African media personality Molemo ‘Jub Jub’ Maarohanye is set to return to the small screen, with the new season of the popular Uyajola 9/9 set to go on air despite a R12 million lawsuit hanging over his head.
The programme, which investigates and exposes infidelity in relationships, is scheduled to return on 2 November 2025 on the Moja Love channel 157.
Jub Jub, who is the face of the programme, announced its return with a video on social media.
“TV is boring on Sundays nowadays nê? It’s safe to say that we are coming back on 2 November.”
However, the return of the series is likely to stir more controversy, as Jub Jub is currently embroiled in a lawsuit from a past episode of the show.
According to reports emerging online, Sheron Tose has taken legal action against the host, stemming from an incident where the “Uyajola 9/9” crew supposedly barged into her and her partner’s bedroom.
The allegations state that both she and her partner were filmed without their consent while in a vulnerable state, leading to claims of emotional trauma and humiliation.
“The filming crew blocked the doorway to the bedroom, preventing me from leaving. Dominique directed sexually explicit and degrading accusations at me, which the film crew did not prevent or attempt to prevent,” court papers state.
The lawsuit, which is currently before the Johannesburg High Court, has ignited a heated debate online.
Given the lawsuit, it remains to be seen whether the show will continue to push boundaries or face tighter scrutiny, remains to be seen.
