South African entertainer Skomota recently had to attend a purification ritual, after his family expressed concern that his girlfriend Molatelo Mosheo had used a love portion on him.
The ritual took place amid concerns by the family that Mosheo was only interested in improving her own status using Skomota’s fame.
“They believe she’s primarily interested in his growing wealth and celebrity status,” a source close to the family told the Daily Sun.
Speaking on his reality TV series, Skomota Ngwana Sesi, the viral star confirmed that his family had expressed reservations about his love life and decided to take the traditional route to “cure” him.
“My family insisted I undergo purification. They gave me a special herbal preparation and said I needed to expel whatever I’d consumed.”
The performer appeared puzzled by the proceedings, questioning what substances his relatives believed required removal.
Skomota said he did not see a reason why people questioned why his girlfriend was enjoying his earnings.
“People criticize how she spends my earnings, but I’m the one working – why shouldn’t she benefit? She shows me genuine care through her actions every day,” he asserted, citing domestic support and emotional companionship.
Family members point to a previous incident involving pregnancy allegations as evidence of Mosheo’s questionable behavior.
“She made pregnancy claims but avoided verification through medical testing,” a relative alleged, suggesting this episode confirmed their misgivings about her motives.
