LAGOS – Nigerian songbird Tiwa Savage has confessed that she would not mind being someone’s second wife, as she does not think a polygamous relationship should be regarded as something taboo.
The 45-year-old musician, who appeared on a recent edition of the Lip Service Podcast, said she did not think that if the opportunity to marry an older man who wanted to take her as his second wife she would turn it down.
“If I can meet somebody that can really marry me, they are either in their 50s or already married. So, I don’t know, maybe I could be a second wife. I think so. I could be a second wife.”
She added that while someone women were disrespectful of first wives in relationships, she knew she would be different.
“I’m very respectful. I know that you are the first wife, and I would accord you that respect.”

The couple had a high-profile, fairy-tale wedding in 2013, and welcomed their son, Jamil Balogun, in 2015.
