PRETORIA – South Africa’s Inspector-General of Intelligence, Imtiaz Fazel, has been suspended by president Cyril Ramaphosa with immediate effect, pending the outcome of a formal investigation by Parliament’s Joint Standing Committee on Intelligence (JSCI).
This development follows claims by KZN Police Commissioner, Lt-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi that there was serious corruption in the South African Police Services (SAPS) and also other arms of government.
