HARARE – One thing all Zimbabwean music lovers would agree on is that Enzo Ishall is a beast when it comes to making people dance with his smash hit singles.
Six years ago, the Zimdancehall singer released catchy song Kanjiva, which became an instant hit capturing the hearts of many ghetto yutes. With all the success he has enjoyed, one can’t help but wonder why he hasn’t released an album yet.
Last year, Enzo teased his fans with news that he would be releasing his debut album in May 2025, but none of it materialised.
Nehanda Radio quizzed the Magate hitmaker on when he will be releasing his album, and he said ‘that’s not going to happen.’
“I will never do an album, I’m good with singles. That’s where my strength is. Albums require so much work and time. Maybe I’m too lazy to put in so much work,” said Enzo Ishall.
Asked as to why he teased his fans with an album last year in December, Enzo said he realised that there was no need to have an album if he’s singles are cashing in enough money for him.
“The goal is to cash in, and with my singles I’m making enough to survive, so what’s the need to have an album if my singles are cashing in well. Another thing you need to know is that not every artist is meant to release an album.
“Some have done exceptionally well with albums, yet some failed dismally. So, at least with singles, people will get time to digest and enjoy my song,” he added.
Enzo finally let out his biggest fear, saying, “imagine you release an album, and only one song does well. So why not just release a single, then?”
