SCOTLAND – The self-styled African tribe ‘Kingdom of Kubala’ has maintained their stance that no one will be able to remove them from a Scottish Forest, claiming it has been given to them by God.

The African tribe of three individuals led by Ghanaian Kofi Offeh now King Atehene and Zimbabwean- born Jean Gasho now Queen Nandi of the North together with American Kaura Taylor, who now identifies Asnat has been facing opposition from the Scottish Borders Council over illegal occupation of land.

The Scottish Borders Council has launched a fresh bid of eviction after the tribe decided to move only 20 feet from the previous camping spot, which they got evicted from.

Speaking in a video captured by the BBC, King Atehene of the Kubala Kingdom said that, “all nations belong to the kingdom of Kubala, all land belong to the kingdom of Kubala for it was given to us by the creator of the heavens and the earth, and we dwell safely wherever we choose to be.”

It appears the so-called Kingdom of Kubala is really enjoying all the attention they are getting from the media.

This is evidenced by the series of posts made by Jean Gasho on her Facebook as she claimed ‘Kubala is strong… Kubala can never be destroyed’ whilst reacting to news that a Scottish councillor has told members of the community not to help this tribe with anything.

She posted a video bragging that regardless of the calls made to the community by the councillor not to help them, they still get gifts from well-wishers.

She captioned the video, saying, “As the councillor pleads with Jedburgh community not to be kind or help Kubala, more gifts have come to Kubala! As they called FIRE services on Kubala, Yahowah stirred the hearts of well-wishers, and a new fire pit was brought to Kubala.

“Gifts of expensive Jasmine essential oil and a hosho have come to Kubala this evening, with more food. Yahowah has come to Kubala this evening, with more food. Yahowah is the gift that keeps on giving. Nobody can stop Kubala because Kubala is strong.”

Before moving into the forest, Jean and Kofi were formally charged with child cruelty. The couple was remanded in custody in 2024 but was later released.

This came after police and child agencies were called to investigate circumstances at the couple’s flat in Stockton.

These charges were later dropped earlier this year. However, their children still remain under Child Protection Services.

Jean or Queen Nandi, as she calls herself, has always claimed to have been a spiritual person. She claims her father was the ‘Great Spirit Medium’ Chief Never Gasho.

“Zimbabweans your Queen commands you to rise up, for muzukuru waNever Gasho CHAKA.

“I shall tell you all a chant to do on Sunday night into Monday morning where I shall meet the bull by the horns, and will be in a spiritual trace possessed by the great ancestor Never Gasho,” read one of her posts, posted on Facebook in 2023.

Jean Gasho: Why I am now a single mother of 7

By Mary-Tamar was Jean formerly known as Jean Gasho It is with a heavy heart that I announce that Nino and I are no longer together. It was through my writing that I met him and to some degree it is through my writing that we parted. In fact Nino did say he fell in love with me after he read my online diary of my journey of abuse in the hands of Masocha and many Agape members, he wanted to be the one to comfort me and help me heal, with his sense of humor I did find a lot of healing and comfort in his arms. But sometimes things are not meant to be, all I know is I loved him so very much, and I bowed to him, I wrote songs for him, and I honoured him more than I ever honoured any man who has walked on this earth, I worked hard to build him a harem, it was me who told him the idea, but there are times in life where even sacrifice, love and the highest honour is never enough.

Jean Gasho: The woman who “dethroned” Mugabe, Marry Chiwenga, now cruelly pays for her...

By Mary Tamar (formerly Jean Gasho) | Follow her BLOG | I have always been convinced that Marry Chiwenga played a huge part in influencing her husband, the then General Constantino Chiwenga, the Army in Commander of Zimbabwe, in the dethroning of Robert Mugabe. I believe as a young woman who loves power, it was her who even suggested to her husband that it was possible to dethrone the late former President of Zimbabwe. A lot of decisions which are made by men of power are often influenced by their wives at home. They do not say “behind every successful man is a woman” for no reason. What I know about Zimbabwean politics especially, is that it is women who have the ball in their hands. Men in Zimbabwe are generally controlled by women, it’s a hidden culture. My husband has noticed that about Zimbabwean men, even though they can be emotionally abusive, the women strangely wear the trousers in their marriages. I believe such was always the dynamics in the marriage of Marry Chiwenga and the Vice President.

Jean Gasho: Black People, please stop celebrating things which are supposed to be normal...

By Mary Tamar was Jean (formerly Jean Gasho) It saddens me a little, the things that black people are forced to celebrate. A black South African woman with her own hair goes on a beauty pageant and wins it, and we are all celebrating, not the win itself, but the fact that a dark-skinned woman with her own hair on her head won… A black woman looking like a black woman is now something so unusual, we have to celebrate it. Am I the only one who is very disturbed by this.

Why my husband is looking for a second wife and I am excited about...

By Mary-Tamar was Jean (formerly known as Jean Gasho) Yes you read the headline right, my Boaz and King is looking for another wife. And yes he loves me too much and I am the apple of his eyes. But before I go into that, let me just say, on the 1st of August I celebrated my birthday. August is always a very special month for me because its my birthday month, this year its even more special because 400 years ago this month, the children of Israel where captured and taken into captivity as slaves in what was the worst atrocity to ever happen in human history. This August is a very significant month in world history, especially prophetically.
