LONDON – A sensational report alleging that organisers of the annual Zimfest in the UK had been fined £3,000 by British authorities after at least 15 heaps of human faeces were discovered around the venue has been dismissed as fake news.

In a statement issued on Monday, Zimfest said: Thank you to everyone who made ZIMFEST 2025 unforgettable! It was incredible to see so many happy, respectful, and vibrant faces come together to celebrate our culture.

“Just to clarify; no fine was issued to the organisers and we’re proud of how well everyone represented the community. We’re listening to your feedback as we work to improve and grow.

Let’s keep the good vibes going. See you at the next one ZIMFEST 2026! 🇿🇼💛,” the statement added.

LONDON - The biggest Zimbabwean music festival in the UK aptly known as Zimfest will return for a milestone next weekend with an exhilarating lineup of artists. Formerly known as Zimfest Live, the event has dropped the 'Live' from its name, marking a new era while continuing its tradition of celebrating Zimbabwean music and culture. The festival will take place over two days from 27-28 July at the picturesque Hertfordshire Showgrounds in St Albans.
