KWEKWE – Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) Central Region Division One League newcomers, Hardrock FC, are determined to secure promotion to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) in their debut season.
Owned by businessman and gold mining mogul Shepherd Chahwanda, Hardrock FC have heavily invested in their squad.
They have signed quite a number of experienced players such as Newman Sianchali, Takabva Mawaya, Cleopas Dube, Obert Malajila, Donald Ngoma, and Munyaradzi Diro Nyenye.
This shows their ambition to compete at the highest level next year.

Apart from player acquisitions, the club is also constructing a 10,000 seater stadium in Kwekwe along the Zhombe-Gokwe road.
Spearheaded by Prophet Walter Magaya, the project is expected to be completed by the end of March.
The stadium, named Chahwanda (Heart Main), honors the Hardrock FC owner.

Hardrock FC chairperson Jonathan Chahwanda expressed confidence in their promotion chances.
“Our chances of winning the Central Region Division One championship are over 80 percent,” he said.
“As Hardrock, we want to make sure fans in Kwekwe enjoy quality football and we will do whatever it takes for the team to gain promotion into the top-flight.”
However, Hardrock FC are likely set to face tough competition from rivals Tongogara, Gweru-based Sheasham and Gwanda Pirates who are also new to the league.
Nicknamed the Kasongo or Golden Boys, Hard Rock have been actively preparing for the season, playing high-profile pre-season matches against PSL sides Yadah, Dynamos and Manica Diamonds.
